Parking

All parking areas of the Turku Student Village Foundation (TYS) housing locations require a parking permit via the eParking application. The system is in place to ensure that the parking spaces of the housing locations are always firstly available to our tenants.

Every TYS tenant can get a parking permit to their housing locations parking area. The parking permit is available for the tenants free of charge, but the tenant has to 1. apply for a parking licance in the eParking app and after the license has been granted 2. reserve a right to park in a chosen parking area via app. The parking permit expires when the lease of the apartment ends.

Please note that there are not enough parking spaces for every tenant in TYS housing locations. The parking permit does not guarantee a free space but provides you the right to park if there are free spaces in your housing locations parking area (except for the paid spaces with heating poles).

Please note that the parking spaces in free use are intended for cars that are in regular use. Vehicles that are not registered or trailers cannot be stored in a free-of-charge parking space. Remember to ensure that your car does not block snowploughs in the winter.

Notice: TYS is not responsible for any damage to or loss of a tenant’s vehicle or the belongings inside it. Tenants can obtain insurance for their vehicle to provide protection in cases of damage or vandalism. Please remember to file a police report if you suspect you have been the victim of a crime.

There is a charging station to charge electric cars for tenants living in the Student Village area (Aitiopaikka, Ikituuri, Kuikkulankatu, Nummenranta, Tyyssija, Student Village East and Student Village West).

The two charging places of the station, 12A 1 and 12A 2, can be found at the end of Student Village 12A, in the Tyyssija parking are. Both charging places of the station can simultaneously generate a charge of 22 kW.
