Many TYS housing locations have a separate barbecue area. We primarily recommend using these barbecue areas when you start craving some grilled food.
If your location does not provide a barbecue area, or if you are unable to use it for some reason, you can use your own barbecue on your balcony or in the apartment yard. When grilling, however, pay attention to general comfort and fire safety.
Making an open fire on balconies and in the yard is strictly prohibited. For example, using a disposable grill is seen as making an open fire. When grilling, fire safety is always the tenant’s own responsibility.
