Letters are distributed directly to the apartment’s letterbox or its mailbox.
If Posti delivers you a letter that is addressed to someone else, such as your apartment’s previous tenant, you can write “jaettu väärin” (delivery error) on the letter and drop it off in any Posti mailbox. The letter will then be delivered to the correct address.
If you need to receive larger deliveries or packages at your apartment, always give your own address as the delivery address. This also applies to deliveries sent via courier services.
For packages delivered by Posti, you will receive a notice of delivery and then use this notice to pick it up at the designated office. As to delivery times for shipments by other couriers, tenants must agree separately with the service provider in question.
The TYS office does not accept postal mail or package deliveries on behalf of tenants.
