Reduced opening hours of TYS Housing Office and changes in the operations of services will remain in effect until 30th April

TYS has decided to extend the reduced office hours of the TYS Housing Office and to maintain the changes in the operations of service´s due to the exceptional situation caused by the coronavirus until 30th April, 2020.

We take the coronavirus and the epidemic seriously and want to protect our customers, employees and partners. With all the taken measures in place we can minimize the spread of the virus and to take our social responsibility to prevent the spread of the virus. We are continuously monitoring the situation and following the instructions of the Finnish Government and the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare. Below you can find more information about how our services operate and how to use our services in these exceptional times.

Customer service

Our housing office will be open only to customers who are picking up keys to their apartment from 11am to 3pm on weekdays. Other housing-related matters are handled through our online services at the tenant pages, by email to office@tys.fi, or by calling the office on 02 275 0200.

You need to inform office@tys.fi of the key-pick-up. In your message, you should state the day and time you pick up the key. Wait for a confirmation message. Our staff will use disposable gloves when handling the keys.

NB! The Housing Office is open exceptionally on moving in day on 1st April, when the office is open from 12am to 4 pm to tenants who´s who are picking up keys to their apartment for contracts beginning at 1st April. Tenants whose contracts are beginning 1st April don´t have to inform about the key-pick-up if they are picking up the keys on this day.

NB! The Housing Office is open exceptionally during Easter. On Thursday, 9th April the Housing Office will be open from 11am to 1pm only to customers who are picking up keys to their apartment. On Good Friday 10th April and 2nd Easter Day 13th April the office is closed.

NB! The Housing Office is open on the eve of Labour Day 30th April from 11am to 1pm only to customers who are picking up keys to their apartment. On Labour Day 1st May the office is closed.

Outdoor Sports Facilities

The outdoor sports facilities in the proximity of TYS housing locations will remain open in accordance with the guidelines of the City of Turku. Fitness trails and equipment, such as outdoor gyms, in their proximity of TYS housing locations continue to be available for everyone as long as safety distances and Government policies on gathering are respected.  Fitness equipment should be cleaned before use and it may be a good idea to use safe gloves during exercise as a precaution. In order to minimise the risk of contagion, it is important that not too many people are exercising in same areas at the same time.

Saunas, club rooms and laundry facilities

The saunas and club rooms will remain closed for the time being. Laundries will remain open for the tenants, but hands should be washed before and after use of the laundry.

Maintenance work and visits

At the moment only the most urgent maintenance work is carried out in the apartments.

If there is a need for repairs in your apartment and there are a sick, exposed or quarantined person is in the apartment, please take the matter in consideration when making the fault report.

If the fault in need of repair is not urgent, please consider submitting a fault report later. If you have already filed a fault report and there are a sick, exposed or quarantined person is in the apartment, please cancel the fault report and make a new one when there are no more sick, exposed or quarantined persons in the apartment.

Inspections made when moving out

Please contact office@tys.fi if you terminated your lease, your apartment has not yet been inspected and there are a sick, exposed or quarantined person is in the apartment.

The Finnish government decided that all public gatherings are limited to no more than ten persons and that it is recommended to avoid spending unnecessary time in public places.
