Easy living
Because of the coronavirus, we all spend more time at home than usual. It is therefore very likely that more noise will be heard from the neighbourhood than usual during the day. Normal sounds of life must be tolerated on both sides. Still, consider your neighbors and avoid unnecessary commotion.
TYS’s apartments have the same rules of conduct as normal. Night peace must be given to neighbors between 23:00 and 06:00. If you experience disturbance, you should always try to take the issue up with the party causing the disturbance at first. However, if things do not proceed as hoped, you can report the disturbance via the tenant pages. In the event of an acute emergency, always call the emergency number.
Gatherings and celebrations
Now is not the time to hold gatherings or parties. The Finnish government has stated that unnecessary gatherings in should be avoided. Please consider your co-habitants and neighbours by minimizing guests.
Saunas, club rooms, laundry facilities and shared kitchens
The saunas and club rooms will remain closed for the time being. Laundries will remain open for the tenants, but hands should be washed before and after use of the laundry.
Shared kitchens remain for the use of the tenants, but good hand hygiene and special care must be taken when using the kitchen. The cleaning of shared kitchens has been increased, but it is the responsibility of each tenant to take care of the cleanliness of the kitchen after use.
Maintenance work and visits
At the moment only the most urgent maintenance work is carried out in the apartments.
If you file a fault report, please note that the work may be postponed to a later date. The maintenance company will assess the urgency of the notifications and agree with you on the action to be taken by the notification. Please make sure on your tenant pages that your contact information is up to date, so the maintenance company can be in contact with you. If the fault that requires repair is not urgent, please consider submitting a fault report later.
If you have already filed a fault report and there are a sick, exposed or quarantined person is in the apartment, please cancel the fault report and make a new one when there are no more sick, exposed or quarantined persons in the apartment.¨
Inspections made when moving out
Please contact office@tys.fi if you terminated your lease, your apartment has not yet been inspected and there are a sick, exposed or quarantined person is in the apartment.
Outdoor Sports Facilities
The outdoor sports facilities in the proximity of TYS housing locations will remain open in accordance with the guidelines of the City of Turku. Fitness trails and equipment, such as outdoor gyms, in their proximity of TYS housing locations continue to be available for everyone as long as safety distances and Government policies on gathering are respected. Fitness equipment should be cleaned before use and it may be a good idea to use safe gloves during exercise as a precaution. In order to minimise the risk of contagion, it is important that not too many people are exercising in same areas at the same time.
