Instructions for tenants moving in at the beginning of April

The TYS Housing Office will exceptionally be open only at 12:00–16:00 from 1 April 2020 onwards. In addition, the office will only be available to tenants picking up keys. These limitations are due to the circumstances caused by the coronavirus epidemic. We will be available normally by phone and digital channels from 9:00 to 17:00.

If you visit the office to collect your keys, please wait for your turn outside the office and keep your distance from others in the queue (1.5–2 metres). Please take an identification document with a photo with you and prepare to present it through the glass on the door. At this time, customers cannot enter the office; instead, a TYS employee will hand your keys in an envelope from behind the door. In the envelope, you can also find the checklist for moving in and a name label for the door/mailbox.

Tenants moving in can also choose to pick up their keys from the kiosk Caribia R-kioski (Kongressikuja 1, 20540 Turku). Keys can be collected from R-kioski from Wednesday 1 April 2020, 12:00 noon onwards. This additional service is subject to a fee (€5 per pick-up). You can pay the fee when picking up the keys. The keys will only be given to the tenant when they present an identification document. However, collecting the keys from the kiosk requires that TYS has been informed of this in advance according to the following instructions:

Contact office@tys.fi at noon on the previous workday 31st March, at the latest, and inform us that you wish to collect your keys from R-kioski. Use the subject line ‘R-kioski + your name’ in the email and tell us on which day and at what time you will pick up the keys. Please wait for a response from us.

If your apartment is not sufficiently clean, please inform our customer service of this by phone at +358 (0) 2 275 0200. If your apartment is to be cleaned, you need to open the door for the cleaners.

When moving in, please pay attention to safe distances and hand hygiene. Please do not touch other people’s belongings. Another tenant may be moving out while you are moving in.

We wish your move goes well, and we hope for your patience in these exceptional times!
