All TYS apartments have a fixed Internet connection that is included in the rent. The Internet connection is available to the tenant right after moving in.
The connection utilises Ethernet local area network technology, which means that a modem or DSL terminal are not needed. To use it, you only need a computer with a network adapter and an Ethernet network cable (type RJ45). If you want a wireless connection, you will need to acquire a suitable router.
Please note! Aitiopaikka, Haliskylä, Iltakajo, Tyyssija, Student Village 3 A-D, Student Village 10A, Student Village 12A and Yo-talot also have the wireless Eduroam network, in addition to the Village Network. The tenants can sign into the network with the credentials given by their educational institute. If you are not certain which credentials to use, ask your educational institute to specify.
