Completely renovated new studios and one-bedroom apartments will be completed at the Kuunsilta housing location by August. As of 1st May new students that start their studies in Turku in the autumn can apply for the location’s renovated apartments, as well as TYS tenants who have moved to other apartments due to renovation with an internal transfer.

Water is not included in the rent in renovated apartments, but is invoiced according to consumption. With the amendment to the Energy Efficiency Act, consumption-based apartment-specific water invoicing is mandatory in apartments that have apartment-specific water meters installed on the basis of a building permit issued after the entry into force of the law. On the basis of the building permit issued after the entry into force of the law, the meters will be installed in the apartments to be renovated on the F-X stairs of Kuunsilta, for which consumption-based invoicing is mandatory.
The start of the housing application for L-X stairs, which will be completed later, will be announced separately.
