Construction Engineer Anssi Aalto is the new real estate manager for the Turku Student Village Foundation (TYS). Aalto, 44, has been a project manager at Skanska Talonrakennus Oy with duties as design direction team superior for design direction and construction tasks in property projects in Southwest Finland. Aalto will start working for the foundation at the beginning of April 2021.

”I wanted to take the opportunity to become the Property Manager for TYS. The foundation is a significant player in Turku as a lessor, construction developer, and property maintainer and developer. Its task and mission as student housing developer and guardian is particularly inspiring to me, and I am highly motivated to take on this job. It is also great that I can continue working in my new duties in Turku, a city I already know well and where I live with my family”, Anssi Aalto says.

The current TYS real estate manager, Ismo Aaltonen, will be retiring in late summer of 2021 and before that he will start enjoying his holidays already at the beginning of May 2021. Aaltonen started working for the foundation in 1996.

”I am extremely happy that the Turku Student Village Foundation got the chance of receiving Anssi Aalto as the foundation’s new real estate manager. Aalto has solid experience of design and construction – also on the management side – and he also possesses practical work supervision experience, which is all quite helpful in working as the real estate manager for the foundation. TYS is experiencing very strong growth in the coming years, and it is a key player in developing student housing and related services in Turku. We can achieve this together with Anssi Aalto and with the knowledgeable personnel and partners of the foundation. We welcome Anssi Aalto to the Turku Student Village Foundation and its executive team”, says Risto Siilos, CEO for the Turku Student Village Foundation.
