Starting from February 3rd, you can rent items for a small fee from TYS, as TYS’s rental item locker opens at Tyyssija for all TYS tenants to use. In the rental item locker, you can find items like an electric drill to help with hanging pictures on the wall, a fabric steamer to freshen up your party attire, or board games for a fun evening. The items are rented through the Lainappi app.
How to rent:
- Download the Lainappi app from the app store of your mobile phone and register yourself as a user.
- You can find our selection of rental items on the app by searching with the keyword “TYS”.
- Go to the entry with your desired item and follow instructions to rent it. You may schedule the term of your lease as you choose. Please remember to carefully read the terms and conditions.
- After your booking has been confirmed, you can open the locker via the app.
- You may return the item at any time during the term of your lease by opening the locker via the app.
You can find TYS’s rental item locker in the courtyard of Tyyssija, in the laundry room/clubroom lobby. Entrance to the machine is through the laundry room/clubroom door of Tyyssija. Tenants can access the lobby from 7am to 11pm by using the entrance code in the app. The items should be picked up and returned to the machine within these opening hours.
Please remember to carefully read any instructions for use of the rental item as well as returning instructions on the app (for example, the battery of electric drill should be fully charged upon returning). There is no need to separately contact TYS office to use the rental item locker.
Please note that the items must be returned on time as per the terms and conditions.
If any damage occurs to the item you rented, please notify about it without delay by email to office@tys.fi.
A survey was conducted among TYS’s tenants in late 2024. The results of this survey were taken into consideration when choosing the rental items. If you have ideas on what useful items we could acquire for the tenants to rent, you can share your tips with TYS’s customer service at office@tys.fi!
