TYS’s 60th Anniversary Bike Tour has been postponed from Wednesday, 16th September to Thursday, 24th September, from 4 to 6 pm.
As part of TYS’s 60th anniversary celebrations, we are organizing a guided bike tour for our tenants in cooperation with the Bryggman Foundation. During the tour, we will explore the architecture and history of TYS’s housing locations. The tour will be guided in both Finnish and English. The event is also part of the Bryggman Institute’s Year of Architecture Competitions.
During the tour, we will learn about what student housing has looked like in different decades and how TYS’s housing locations have changed from the 1950s to the present day.
The tour starts at the Student Village Towers (Yo-talot) and follows a guided route of approximately 5 kilometres through the Student Village and other TYS housing locations in the area, ending at Pilvilinna in Räntämäki.
