The Finnish Associations of Student Housing Organisations SOA ry and Finnish student housing organisations from all over Finland are looking for prettiest, budget-friendly student home in Finlandin a local and a national The Prettiest Student Home 2025 -competition.
Show us your home through a picture, pictures or a video and you have a chance to win a total of up to 599 euros worth gift cards to interior design shops!
The competition consists of a local and a national competition. The submissions for the Turku local competition will be published on TYS’s Instagram @tysturku. By participating in the local competition, you will automatically participate in the national competition, where a panel of experts will select the prettiest student home in Finland 2025 from all participants.
The competition is running between May 12th and June 1st 2025. We will post the entries on TYS’s Instagram as we receive them.
Who can participate?
Everyone living in TYS apartment can participate in the competition. A tenant under the age of 18 years must have the consent of parent or guardian.
How to participate in the competition?
Register for the competition by introducing your student home with a picture, pictures or a video and send your material via email to office@tys.fi 1st June 2025 at the latest and add Suomen kaunein opiskelijakoti 2025 to your emails subject field. Add your apartment type (shared apartment, studio, one-bedroom apartment, etc.) rent and housing locations to the message.
We will publish Turku local competition participants’ photos/videos and additional information on TYS’s Instagram @tysturku, as we receive them. A panel of TYS experts will decide the Prettiest Student Home in Turku 2025 from among the participants living in TYS apartments. The winner will receive a gift card worth 99 euros to PUF Design Market.
All participants will also automatically attend the national competition, the winner of which will be decided by a jury of experts. The grand prize in the national competition is a 500€ gift voucher to the Finnish Design Shop.
How to implement picture, pictures or videos
You can produce the material freely with any device. The material must respect privacy, as well as copyrights. Videos can be max. 60 seconds long.
