Posti and TYS have launched cooperation, as a result of which Posti’s outdoor parcel lockers will arrive starting from 2nd March in the courtyard areas of TYS’s housing locations.
“It is truly great that we can bring Posti’s popular parcel services to the TYS´s locations. The majority of customers come to us to pick up parcels, and the locker is the most popular delivery method. From the new outdoor lockers, you can conveniently pick up and send prepaid parcels around the clock,” says Mikko Similä, Partnership Manager at Posti.
The first new outdoor lockers were opened on 2nd March Student Village East and at Yo-talot:
- Student Village East, address Yo-kylä 15 A, 20540 Turku
- Yo-talot, address Rehtoripellonkatu 4–6, 20500 Turku
As part of the cooperation, a total of five outdoor lockers will be introduced for customers in the area during spring 2026. The goal is to respond to growing demand and bring popular parcel services as close to customers as possible. The courtyards of student housing locations provide an excellent environment for outdoor lockers in places where people move about.

Posti’s outdoor lockers at TYS´s housing locations are a good example of a service that facilitates tenants’ daily lives, while also supporting more sustainable mobility and living, and complementing the existing services,” says Anssi Aalto, TYS ´s Real Estate Manager.
Posti’s domestic outdoor lockers have been developed in cooperation with Finnish technology partners, and they are suitable for the Finnish climate. The lockers receive their energy from batteries and do not require a separate connection to mains electricity or data cabling.
