In September, we looked for new tenant bloggers among our tenants and received a large number of great applications. The application period has now ended, and our tenants Eeva, Hafsa, Isla and Shavi will start as our new bloggers in the beginning of November!

Eeva
Hi! I’m Eeva, and this autumn marks the start of my fourth year of studies as well as my Master’s studies in Translation and Communication at the University of Turku. I spent the entire last academic year on exchange in Italy, and that’s actually how I ended up moving into a TYS apartment. It seemed like a convenient option, and getting the apartment for the autumn was easy to arrange from abroad. I moved into a studio apartment in Tyyssija about three months ago, and I’ve really enjoyed living here. The great location close to the university has, of course, made everyday life much easier.
I’m a very visual person and love taking photos and sharing little snippets of my life on social media for my friends, so I thought that being a tenant blogger would also be fun and fit well into my daily life. I’d like to create the kind of content that I enjoy watching myself — something inspiring and useful for many people, like tips on various topics, as well as recipes and “my day”-style posts.
Hafsa
Hi, I’m Hafsa, a student at the University of Turku pursuing ICT in Data Analytics. I reside in Student Village West, a cozy studio apartment with a shared kitchen.
I’ve been living here for nearly three months, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far. I applied to become a tenant blogger because I’m excited to share my life and experiences with the community.
In my upcoming blog, I’ll be sharing more about my daily life as a student and a tenant, highlighting the best hidden spots in Turku, and even some tips on balancing studies and personal life.

Hi! I’m Isla, a first-year economics student.
Since September, I’ve been living in Yo-talot, in a small but really cozy 21-square-meter studio apartment. This is actually my third home with TYS, as I’m from Turku and already lived in two different TYS housing locations during high school.
I applied to be a tenant blogger because I enjoy creating content for Instagram, and I love my current apartment so much that I want to share it with everyone!
On my blog, I’ll be sharing tips for decorating a small apartment and telling about all the fun things you can do as a student in Turku!
Shavi
I’m Shavi, a second-year Master’s student in ICT: Software Engineering at the University of Turku. I currently live in a cozy one-bedroom apartment in Kuunsilta (in my totally unbiased opinion, the best location in Turku :D). I’ve been living in TYS apartments for over a year now, and I’ve genuinely loved their service. If something needs fixing, they are just one fault report away!
I became a tenant blogger because I want to share my journey of creating a happy life in Finland and help other students make their life in Turku easier. My goal is to teach you at least one useful tip every month. In my next blog, I’ll be sharing practical information about TYS apartments. Also, expect a mini apartment tour!
