The Finnish Associations of Student Housing Organisations SOA ry and Finnish student housing organisations from all over Finland are looking for prettiest student homes in a local and a national The Prettiest Student Home 2020 -competition. Now you have an opportunity to showcase how cozy and beautiful a student home can be. Show us your home through a picture, pictures or a video and you have a chance to win a total of up to 599 euros worth gift cards to interior design shops!
The competition consists of a local and a national competition. The submissions for the Turku local competition will be published on TYS’s Instagram @tysturku, where everyone can vote by liking the photo or video of their favorite entry. By participating in the local competition, you will automatically participate in the national competition, where a panel of experts will select the prettiest student home in Finland 2020 from all participants.
The competition is running between May 20th and June 3rd 2020. We will post the entries on TYS’s Instagram as we receive them. Voting for the contest starts immediately, so the earlier you enter the contest, the longer your home will be participating in the voting. The winner of the Turku local competition will be the home that has received the most likes on June 14th by the end of the day and the winner will be announced on June 15th, 2020. The winner of the national competition will be announced by June 20, 2020.

Participating
Who can participate?
Everyone living in TYS apartment can participate in the competition. A tenant under the age of 18 years must have the consent of parent or guardian.
Time of the participation
Time of the participation in the competition is May 20th – June 3rd 2020.
How to participate in the competition?
Register for the competition by introducing your student home with a picture, pictures or a video (video should be max. 60 seconds).
Send your picture, pictures or video via email to office@tys.fi and add Suomen kaunein opiskelijakoti to your emails subject field. We will publish all participants in TYS´s Instagram page @tysturku, where everyone can vote for the prettiest student home in Turku 2020 by liking the photo or video of their favorite entry.
When registering for the local competition you will automatically participate in the national competition, where an expert panel will choose one winner to be the prettiest student home in Finland. The panel consists of Pentti Kareoja (Professor of Spatial Planning, Aalto University), Saila-Mari Kohtala (Editor-in-Chief, Gloria, Gloria Fashion Show, Julia Hermans (President, Aalto University Guild of Architecture) and Secretary of the Jury Lauri Lehtoruusu (Executive Director, SOA – The Finnish Association of Student Housing Organisations).
How to implement picture, pictures or videos
You can produce the material freely with any device. The material must respect privacy, as well as copyrights. Videos can be max. 60 seconds long.
Prizes
The winner of the Turku local competition: gift voucher to PUF Design Market (worth of 99 euros)
The winner of the national competition: gift voucher to Finnish Design Shop (Worth 500 euros)
The winner will be notified personally via the contact information provided.

The winners of the local competition will be announced on May 15th 2020.
