Wonderful Christmas season to all TYS tenants! On Wednesday 10th December, TYS will offer tenants festive Christmas treats at Restaurant Block in Tyyssija. Everyone who buys lunch will receive glögi, a Finnish Christmas pastry and a chocolate praline with their meal – come early, as the treats are available for the first 600 people!
The Christmas spirit continues later in the month as well: on Friday 19th December, Block will serve a traditional Finnish Christmas lunch. You are warmly welcome to enjoy the flavours of Christmas at the student price of €2.95!
During the Christmas season and New Year, Block will operate with exceptional opening hours:
• 22nd December, 11:00–15:00
• 23rd–27th December, closed
• 29th–31st December, 11:00–15:00
• 1st January 2026, closed
• 2nd–3rd January 2026, 11:00–15:00
• 5th–6th January 2026, closed
Some services will also be on break: Fusion Kitchen dishes will be unavailable 16th December 2025–6th January 2026, and breakfast will be paused 22nd December 2025–6th January 2026.
