All of our student apartments becoming available in August have now been offered to applicants. However, individual apartments may still become available due to cancellations, so applicants who are still waiting for an offer should continue to monitor their email.
As in previous years, the number of applications for student housing for August exceeded the number of apartments becoming available. Unfortunately, we were therefore unable to offer housing to everyone who applied.
Student apartments become available throughout the year, so an application submitted during the summer may still result in an offer even after the beginning of the autumn semester. All housing applications remain valid for three months at a time, but you can renew your application at any time by logging in to the Applicant Service.
Didn’t Receive a Housing Offer?
The likelihood of receiving a housing offer depends on the criteria you have set for your application. If you need accommodation quickly, we recommend applying for a wide range of apartment types across several different housing locations.
You should also make sure that your preferred apartment size and rent range correspond to our actual housing supply, as we cannot offer you an apartment if none in our portfolio meet your criteria.
Please also note that calling us, visiting our office, or sending us an email will not affect your chances of receiving a housing offer.
You can update your application at any time by logging in to the Applicant Service.
Found Housing Elsewhere?
If you have found accommodation elsewhere or no longer need student housing from TYS for any other reason, we kindly ask that you withdraw your housing application. Thank you! Doing so helps us process applications more efficiently.
Student apartments are also available from other housing providers and on the private rental market. You can find tips on searching for rental accommodation on the websites of Study in Turku and the City of Turku.
We wish you the best of luck in finding accommodation and every success in your studies this autumn!
