The Turku Student Village Foundation started preparations in 2020 for a corporate responsibility audit as well as for composing a corporate responsibility plan and starting to report on corporate responsibility. The corporate responsibility plan will cover economic responsibility and good governance, social responsibility, and environmental responsibility viewpoints. The first TYS corporate responsibility report will be published in early 2021.<\/p>\n
The objective of the survey is to conduct research into the expectations of stakeholders regarding the validation and focus of TYS\u2019s corporate responsibility plan.<\/p>\n
The key points for responsibility in TYS have been identified through the Foundation\u2019s corporate responsibility audit, which used a wide variety of sources for investigating the economic, social, and environmental impact of the Foundation\u2019s operations. The main themes for the corporate responsibility plan were chosen from these results with specific focus on TYS values, strategy, and policies. Additionally, the choice of themes was made keeping in mind the Foundation\u2019s service of common good, the expectations of stakeholders regarding constant interaction, as well as the Foundation\u2019s operating environment and role as a subsidiary within the City of Turku Group. Dialogue with the Foundation\u2019s stakeholders is continuous, and it takes place through e.g., customer service, collaboration with educational institutions, board work, and communication.<\/p>\n
The following responsibility themes have been identified within TYS operations: transparent and profitable operations, happy and healthy work community, satisfied tenants, and sustainable living. The survey asks respondents to express their opinions by rating the importance of each corporate responsibility viewpoint on a scale of 1\u20135; 1 (least important) \u2013 5 (most important).<\/p>\n
The survey will be sent to every third tenant, all applicants, TYS staff, board members, representatives of the stakeholder forum, and collaboration partners on Friday 15th<\/sup> January 2021. The survey will be conducted in Finnish and English and will remain open until 31st<\/sup> January 2021.<\/p>\n We hope that all chosen respondents would take a few minutes to fill out the survey and give their opinion on our chosen responsibility themes and viewpoints. We appreciate all feedback.
