I thought I wouldn\u2019t make it, and regretted my lack of attention.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-16423\" src=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1stImageAugust2ndpost-300x201.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"187\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1stImageAugust2ndpost-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1stImageAugust2ndpost-768x514.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1stImageAugust2ndpost-1024x685.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1stImageAugust2ndpost-900x600.jpg 900w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1stImageAugust2ndpost-600x403.jpg 600w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1stImageAugust2ndpost-400x269.jpg 400w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/1stImageAugust2ndpost.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/>A few meters away, I saw it: the TYS office.<br \/>\nI opened the door, stepped in and heard the beginning of the heaviest rain in the entire year I\u2019ve been here.<br \/>\n-Well, at least I\u2019m not soaking wet- I said to myself.<br \/>\nI took a number only to be called right away, since the office was strangely empty that day.<\/p>\n<p>-How can I help you?- asked the nice guy with the pretty smile.<br \/>\nI took a deep breath and spoke louder than usual, so he (and the rest of the people working) could hear me over the rain: I forgot my key inside the apartment\u2026..<\/p>\n<p>What to do?<br \/>\nIf you ever find yourself in a similar situation, here\u2019s a short list of the things you could do:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Don\u2019t Panic! Call your flatmate.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is the easiest exit. If you live in a shared apartment, and your flatmate is in town, just call and ask him\/her to save you.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-16426 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2ndImageAugust2ndpost-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2ndImageAugust2ndpost-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2ndImageAugust2ndpost-768x960.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2ndImageAugust2ndpost-819x1024.jpg 819w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/2ndImageAugust2ndpost.jpg 1638w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><strong>2. Hopefully, the TYS office will be open.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you happen to forget your key inside the apartment during decent hours on a weekday, then the TYS office most probably will be open. You will only have to show an ID (for security purposes) and they will give you a key.<br \/>\nThe best part is that this service is for free!! plus, you have an entire week to return the extra key. Yay!<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Call door opening service.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you\u2019re not lucky enough, and forget your key outside TYS opening hours, you will need to call door opening service 02 284 6999 (normal phone call rates apply). The bad news is that the service is subject to a charge.<\/p>\n<p>You can find more information at the TYS web page <a href=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/en\/keys\">https:\/\/tys.fi\/en\/keys<\/a>. Hopefully, you won\u2019t forget or lose your key, but if you do, I truly hope you have a nice flatmate in town, or a good friend you can spend the night with, in case you\u2019re left out of your apartment in the middle of the night.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-16429 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/3rdImageAugust2ndpost-e1566896511253-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/3rdImageAugust2ndpost-e1566896511253-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/3rdImageAugust2ndpost-e1566896511253-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/3rdImageAugust2ndpost-e1566896511253.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>How did my adventure go?<\/p>\n<p>The nice guy with the pretty smile gave me a new key in approximately five seconds, so I sat down and waited for the rain to stop for the longest 20 minutes of my life. Luckily, my dear friend with a broken arm, showed up with two rain coats, handed one to me and walked me to his apartment, only a couple minutes away from TYS.
