Truth is, things have been a lot different of what I was expecting. In so many ways it has been better, and in some others, it\u2019s definitely tougher.<\/p>\n<p>I thought that being away meant a goodbye to my family at the airport.<br \/>\nSo that was it, that\u2019s all I was willing to allow myself to cry and crumble for the fact that I was gonna be oceans apart. Then I realized that two years is a long time, and there are many goodbyes in between.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-16086\" src=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"133\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage2-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage2-900x600.jpg 900w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage2-600x403.jpg 600w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage2.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>I\u2019ve mentioned already in previous posts, how lucky I am, and this case is not the exception. Almost as soon as I bought a mattress for my bed, a couple of friends had booked a plane ticket to visit me. That\u2019s how and why I had the best company during Christmas, New Year\u2019s Eve and half of the summer. Their company has kept me sane, focused and motivated. I was able to share with them the precious gem that Turku is for me, and I got company during the coldest days of winter and the warmest days of summer in return.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-16089 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage3-199x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage3-199x300.jpg 199w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage3-768x1156.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage3-680x1024.jpg 680w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/July2ndpostImage3.jpg 1360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>What started as pure happiness when I knew they were coming, soon enough turned into a great sadness when it was time for them to go back, and there wasn\u2019t plan B or C to help me deal with the feeling.<\/p>\n<p>It would be selfish to believe that I\u2019m the only one feeling that way. Even for all the tears I\u2019ve cried at airports, busses and train stations in at least two different continents, I\u2019m so grateful.<\/p>\n<h6>Blogger:
