I\u2019ve discovered myself looking at my friends when the sun is up, thinking \u201cwhat a beautiful eyes they have!\u201d. I feel like I\u2019m discovering all these thing that were already there, but I didn\u2019t take the time before to observe them.<\/span><\/p>\n What surprised me the most, was my reflection in the mirror, the first day of sun. <\/span><\/p>\n I, somehow, didn\u2019t recognize myself. Didn\u2019t recognize the girl staring at me, long, dark hair; big brown eyes with a defiant look. <\/span><\/p>\n I waited for her to disappear, but she took the main room of my head and started changing the decoration -and the rules-: warm colors and rainbows, sunglasses and sneakers. Head up, smile on.<\/span><\/p>\n At first, I was waiting for her lo leave, thinking it was a temporary thing, but every morning she was still there with the most inquisitive look I\u2019ve seen.<\/span><\/p>\n She began then, to question everything I have done so far, requesting for new things: let\u2019s go to the library! Let\u2019s meet up with friends! Take some books and read more! eat healthier!\u00a0 <\/span>Wake up earlier! Exercise!\u2026..<\/span><\/p>\n She was so demanding, and I was trying to please her.<\/span><\/p>\n After a few days of deep thinking, I came up with the conclusion that I spent so much time getting to know myself in the winter, that I didn\u2019t know myself in spring anymore. <\/span><\/p>\n What do I do when there\u2019s sun and birds on the sky? <\/span><\/p>\n What to wear when there\u2019s no snow on the streets?<\/span><\/p>\n What to do if I have to write essays and I only want to sit on a bench and enjoy the sun?<\/span><\/p>\n The spring version of myself keeps asking me to go somewhere and wander, while the winter version reminds me of how much we like to stay indoors. <\/span><\/p>\n In the meantime, I take them both to the library and back home again: head up, smile on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n If I\u2019m a hopeless wanderer, or if I\u2019m made to stay indoors for the rest of my life, it\u2019s something that -maybe- the summer version of myself will be able to answer.<\/span><\/p>\n Sunny days in Turku are -in my personal opinion- like a dream come true….<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":13400,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[8],"tags":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-13806","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-news"},"yoast_head":"\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/daoudi-aissa-758143-unsplash.jpg\")
