I would wear red clothes and think about all the things I did during the year. I would make a list of the things I wanted to do and imagined myself living a complete different life. I wanted to do something different, to surprise everyone with something impressive\u2026. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">However, being a person with steady habits was definitely not the way to achieve impressiveness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1855\" src=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Tys-fiilis-2604_5-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Tys-fiilis-2604_5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Tys-fiilis-2604_5-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Tys-fiilis-2604_5-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Tys-fiilis-2604_5-900x600.jpg 900w, https:\/\/tys.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Tys-fiilis-2604_5.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>The Big Change<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Before I understood the implications of a big change, I was already inside of my TYS apartment, more than 9 thousand kilometers away from home. Only then I fully understood the meaning of \u201cliving a completely different life\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">For us, international students, starting a new year might not be as relevant as it was to say goodbye to our family and loved ones. We already started all over a few months ago, we left our comfort zone far enough to re-build ourselves, made new friends and met the people that will be with us for the next years. We also made a resolution list: to travel more, to finish the degree we\u2019re currently studying, to do our best while far from home, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Then, what do we have to ask to 2019?<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">For the first time, I believe it\u2019s not about asking, but about giving. My 2019 resolution only contains one thing I\u2019d like to include to the long list I made earlier this year: to throw kindness around like confetti. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Let the party begin!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Welcome, 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When I was younger and
