All TYS parking areas require a parking permit<\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

All parking areas of the Turku Student Village Foundation (TYS) housing locations require a parking permit via the eParking application.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every TYS tenant can get a parking permit to their housing locations parking area. The parking permit is available for the tenants free of charge, but the tenant has to 1. apply for a parking licance in the eParking app and after the license has been granted 2. reserve a right to park in a chosen parking area via app. The parking permit expires when the lease of the apartment ends.<\/p>\n

Please note that there are not enough parking spaces for every tenant in TYS housing locations. The parking permit does not guarantee a free space but provides you the right to park if there are free spaces in your housing locations parking area (except for the paid spaces with heating poles).<\/p>\n

The reservation and billing of the paid parking spaces with heating poles is also managed through eParking. All the parking spaces at housing location Aitiopaikka are paid spaces with heating poles, but the Aitiopaikka tenants can apply for a parking permit to the cost-free parking areas of Nummenranta.<\/p>\n

Wrongly parked vehicles will be fined. Parking control is provided by ParkkiPate Oy. Possible reclamations regarding fines and the like issued by ParkkiPate must be addressed directly to ParkkiPate as instructed in the notice accompanying the fine.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]\n

Billing of paid heating pole spaces<\/strong><\/h5>\n

eParking will send invoices via email to residents who have rented a parking space with a heating pole. Mark the sender of the message as trusted and check your email spam folder regularly to be sure. If the invoice is not paid by the due date, the parking right will be terminated. Parking error fees due to an unpaid invoice will not be refunded.<\/p>\n

You can see your current reservations under the section \u201dMy reservations\u201d.\u00a0 In this section you can also update the registration number of the vehicle which you\u2019re currently using.<\/p>\n

The person parking the vehicle is personally responsible for setting the parked vehicle\u2019s registration number as the active registration number in the app. The parking permit for regular parking spaces can be active for one registration number at a time. Meanwhile, tenants who have reserved a paid space with a heating pole can input multiple registration numbers under their contract, after which all these vehicles have the right to use the heating pole space for parking.<\/p>\n

<\/h5>\n
Visitor parking<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Guests may park in streetside parking spaces and the dedicated guest parking spots available at Kiertot\u00e4hti, Tavasti and the Student Village. It\u2019s also possible to apply for a parking permit to your housing location and input the registration number of your guest\u2019s car. However, please note that the parking permit may only be active for one registration number at a time.<\/p>\n

Please consider that when applying for a parking permit for the first time, the processing may 1-5 business days. Once you have been granted a parking permit, you can add registration numbers and switch between them without delay.<\/p>\n

If you have a recurring need for guest parking, you can rent a parking space with a heating space for your car. This way, you can keep your guest\u2019s registration number active in your parking permit, so they can use the regular parking spaces at your housing location. If you believe that your housing location should have more dedicated guest parking, please contact your local tenant committee.<\/p>\n

Visiting TYS office and moving in or out<\/strong><\/h5>\n

There are some free customer spaces for customers visiting the TYS office at Inspehtorinkatu.<\/p>\n

Please note that parking in yards and rescue routes is forbidden \u2013 but short-term temporary parking in the yards is allowed when moving in or out of the building or when making a quick delivery. Parking control can also be asked to fine a vehicle that is parked in a reserved space.<\/p>\n

Do these two things before parking<\/h4>\n

Before parking in TYS’s parking area, you need to apply for a parking permit and book a parking space in your housing locations parking area. Please note that even parking in free “cold” parking spots requires booking a parking space!<\/p>\n

1. Applying for a parking permit<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Register at www.eparking.fi or by installing the eParking app to your phone. The username is your email address (we suggest you use the same email address which you\u2019ve given to TYS). You can also register with your Google account, when your information will be transferred automatically to the system.<\/p>\n

Please note!<\/strong> Don’t register with Haka-credentials, or you won’t be able to apply for TYS parking spaces.<\/p>\n

Please contact the eParking customer service<\/a> if you need assistance with registration or using the app.<\/p>\n

You can download the eParking app from Google Play or the App Store.\u00a0You can find the instructions for using the app on eparking.fi.<\/a><\/p>\n

  1. Install the app.<\/li>\n
  2. Open the app and locate your housing location on the map.<\/li>\n
  3. Press the lock-symbol and choose \u201cTurun Ylioppilaskyl\u00e4s\u00e4\u00e4ti\u00f6\u201d from the drop menu.<\/li>\n
  4. Press \u201cJatka\u201d and choose your housing location from the dropdown list.<\/li>\n
  5. Send the application. Your tenant status with TYS is checked by eParking within 1-5 business days.<\/li>\n
  6. Add your registration number under the permit, after your application has been accepted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When your application has been accepted, you\u2019ll receive an email from eParking. You will still need to book a parking space in eParking.<\/p>\n

    Please note! You must do this step even if you won’t be using a paid personal parking space.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    2. Booking a parking space in eParking:<\/strong><\/h5>\n
      \n
    1. Open eParking.<\/li>\n
    2. Change the map view to the contract parking map by selecting the calendar icon from the icons displayed at the bottom right of the map. The application informs that “Selected contract map”.<\/li>\n
    3. Search for the parking area of \u200b\u200byour housing association or workplace based on the address or location. The application shows on the map in blue the parking areas to which you have parking rights based on your approved contract.<\/li>\n
    4. Move the cursor over the correct parking area on the map and press “Select”.<\/li>\n
    5. Select the type of your parking space. Please note that not all parking areas may offer all the types of parking spaces described above. After choosing the type of your parking place, press “Next”. If the type of parking space you selected is not available in the parking area, you can queue up.<\/li>\n
    6. On the next page, select the start date of the contract and the billing interval. Fill in the additional information. Please note that if you wish, you can already add the registration numbers of all vehicles in use to the reservation at this stage.<\/li>\n
    7. Press \u201cNext\u201d.<\/li>\n
    8. Check that the information is correct.<\/li>\n
    9. Read and accept the terms of use.<\/li>\n
    10. Finally, press “Confirm”.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Your parking space reservation takes effect on the start date of the contract you have chosen, and you can then start parking in the parking area.<\/p>\n

      Your permit can be active for one registration number at a time, but you can still enter multiple registration numbers under one permit and switch between them.
