JHL, the trade union for the public and welfare sectors, has announced that it will begin a strike on 12th November 2021 at 12:00 noon, covering all the work that JHL members do. Some of the employees of Arkea Oy, which provides real estate services in the Turku Student Village Foundation´s housing locations (except Iltakajo and Auringonnousu), are under strike.
According to current information, the strike will not affect the activities of Arkea’s building services at the Foundation’s housing locations. With regard to real estate maintenance services, we are finding out if the strike affects these services. However, even during a strike, Arkea secures all the tasks that are necessary to prevent danger to life, health, or property in the Foundation’s housing locations. On-call duties are also normally performed during the strike.
